Back To Sketching

It's Friday.  Thank Goodness!  I can barely walk from yesterday's exercise in the garden.  What a mess.  Didn't get much accomplished, but one thing for sure found out how out of shape I've become.  I'm heading out today for a drive in the Perry Countryside with my mama.  It's time for some fresh ideas and I'm feeling a bit of the Spring Fever coming on me.  I've packed a picnic for today, along with my pencils and sketch pads, and next time ya'll hear from me I hope to have some new perspectives.  Have a great weekend everybody!

Blessings, Love and Friday Sunshine to all, Terri

Oh Terri Sweetie...
My gosh does that ever sound like fun. A picnic and a stroll in the countryside to sketch. Can I come along? Please take me.

I can't wait to see what you sketch from the countryside. Have a beautiful day sweetie.

Country hugs and so much love, Sherry

Hi Terri! A picnic lunch sounds SO-ooooo GOOD right now!! The weather is just starting to warm up here, FINALLY! I went out walking in only a sweater yesterday!!.. well.. more than just a sweater OF COURSE! but no WINTER Eskimo-looking, giant-sized parka for a pleasant change!! It's GOOD to feel like a girl again!!.. As for keeping in shape??.. I'm a pretty good walker, but this is the first year I've required the aid of Bengay-ointment on one of my knees, and I'm not happy about it!.. Oh well, hope you had a very Happy St. Patrick's Day, and wishing you a wonderful weekend! ~tina

Oh, I hope you had a truly spectacular day with your mom. It was beautiful here in East Texas, too. Can't wait to see the things you were inspired to sketch today! =) Blessings and hugs!

G'morn, sweet Terri ~ I'll bet Mother enjoyed the outing as much as you ... I do hope she is doing well.

I love the darling girl painting w/flower pot, her skirt flouncing in the breeze ...

Our trees are budding big time but no blossoms yet. We had gorgeous 70s for 4 days so things are popping out everywhere ... the lime & shamrock greens, red & pink hints .... awesome touches as our earth is rebirthed ... I love each season as they unfold for the beauty they hold & share. Our first robin usually arrives in Feb., but we just saw our first one 2 days ago ... guess they figured it was too much snow for them up here, chuckle.

I'll get back on track one day soon keeping up with everyone ... oy!

Have a beautiful day, Terri, give Mother a hug just for me.

Happy spring ~

Good Morning Sunshine...
I see no beautiful sketches here. Where are the ones from the countryside picnic? I just knew they would be here this morning.

Okay I have to tell you, you are going to be so proud of me. I am going to email you my first painting of sorts. I had to make an Easter Pail for my Bunny Swap partner, and because she hasn't seen it yet, I can't post pics, but I painted a bunny and some eggs on linen. I bought a linen tea towel that I liked and cut the strip that I wanted to paint on.

I drew it on first and then painted it, but I didn't think it looked half bad for a first attempt. I so enjoyed watching him come to life. I just hope my partner will love it. I know I sure did. Oh Teri it was so therapeutic painting. I must learn to paint if it is the last thing I do for myself. Do you know of any good self-taught learn to paint books? Something easy peasy please.

Have a blessed day and please know that you are so loved. Many hugs sweetie and much love, Sherry
