Remembering When

Are any of you familiar with the works of Itzchak Tarkay?  Some know him as Isaac Tarkay.  But when I first came across his work he was known simply as:  TARKAY.  His style is so phenomenal till every artist who ever held a brush has in some way tried to mimic him.  ME TOO.

On top of a bookcase in my Lincoln Room, I found a piece where I attempted to capture Tarkay's style.  Just wanted to feel connected to this wonderful artist for one brief moment.  Not to mention his paintings and watercolors sell for thousands of dollars, and no way could I ever afford one.  So I thought the closest I'd ever come to owning something like his, is to paint one for myself.

I've included a couple of photos of my "Tarkay Look Alike," just so you can see my feeble attempt.  Never even hung it.  Just keep it amongst all the other mounting canvases so that one day I can look back and remember when.

Oh Teri Sweetie...
What a beautiful painting.

I am not familiar with Tarkay, but give me "Teri" anyday sweetie. I adore your painting. So much more lifelike. Being a woman, I believe you captured the woman look a lot better than Tarkay. Ofcourse I am just an old country gal, but I still believe yours is better.

Thank you for sharing sweetie as always I so love it when you do.

Happy Monday sweetie. I pray it is a GREAT one for you.

Country hugs and much love, Sherry
