Okay, so since I'm in such a wonderful mood, I decided to share a canvas dating back 3 years ago with ya'll. Why you may ask? Because I want to demonstrate how far my style has progressed since then. I went through all the phases any young artist goes through. You have your portrait phase. Your landscaped phase. Your floral phase. Y'all get what I'm saying, right? We experiment until we find what it is that suits our spirit's best.
Anyway, the above painting was in my Seascape Phase. This piece actually hung in my guest room for awhile. It's 40X40 (huge) and it was done in partial Oil (clouds and skyline) and Acrylic (everything else).
I was shifting through my Lincoln Room last night, trying to sort through all the mess, trying to decide what to keep and what to get rid of, in an effort to early Spring Clean..and there she was. This pitiful landscape I was once so proud of. It's like finding an old 80's outfit in the back of your closet that you once thought you looked great in.
Closing for today. Hope each that have dropped by today, have a HAPPY Friday. I hope by sharing this wonderful old piece, that you get a better feel for how hard I've been working as an artist. A style isn't developed over night, and I'm still searching every day to get mine Just Right.
Blessings, Love and Friday Sunshine to you all, Terri
