Feast For The Eyes

Every artist needs resource material and these beauties stopped me dead in my tracks today.  My heart swelled with gratitude that God would give me something so glorious to wake up to.  One day when I get the "Landscape Urge" again, I hope to thank Him properly and use these.

I believe that every artist is a natural born observer.  From our observations we make art.  We must immerse ourselves.  Dive in.  Get dirt on our hands.  Take in all of life's complications in order to create something worth looking at.  I read somewhere that the artist Frida Kahlo once said, "An artist has to go and rub his soul against life."  I loved how she put that.

I love this post! I found myself observing light - how it falls, shadows it makes etc. It is so true - dive in, get involved!

One of my greatest pleasures in life is to just watch clouds go by ... have done this sine a child, for hours & hours ... we tried to find shapes & imaginations went wild.

Hope all is well with you all ~ hugs Mother.

Have a beautiful day ~
