Sentiments Of A Southern Artist: "Idealizing Life On Canvas"

Today I'd like to share my love for Modern Impressionism..and for me, it doesn't get any better than Artist Lindsay Dawson.

This award-winning artist is popular with me because of his distinctive devotion to family, of leading and bringing to canvas, a very idealized way of life.  Clean.  Pure of heart.  Characteristics that speak to me..that hopefully speak to us all.

Mr. Dawson and his beautiful wife, Cathy, have two incredible children which the artist often uses in many of his paintings.

Mr. Dawson was one of My Earliest Inspirations.  It was because of his delightful work, I chose to paint "Children's Themed Art".

I'm still very drawn to using Children within my work.  Themes like tea parties, feeding the ducks at a nearby pond, or exploring the countryside with brothers, sisters, cousins and friends..bring back the sweetest of childhood memories.

Thank you Mr. Dawson, for helping preserve those lovely times on canvas.   You have a remarkable talent and I sincerely appreciate you having shared it with the world.

Terri, these are so beautiful and just bursting with happiness!! Very uplifting. I think my favorite is the one with the sailboat - the way the light is reflected in the water. Thanks so much for sharing!!
