I Can Only Imagine

As An Artist And A Very Visually-Minded Person, I've Tried Many Times To Imagine What Jesus Looks Like.  Once or Twice I've Even Considered Trying To Paint Him On Canvas But Thought Better Of It.  I've Seen So Many Movies And Photographs Of How Others' See Him.  But The Images Above Are Probably Closest To How My Heart Visualizes Him.  All I Know "For Sure" Is That I Love Him And Just As He Will Know Precisely Who I Am When I Get To Meet Him..I Too Will Surely Know "Him".

This is exactly the face of my Lord and Savior. I would know Him anywhere.

So true...I think that art and Hollywood have given us a mental picture, but I honestly think we'll be surprised when we see him face to face.

I was reading in Revelation and John, who was the disciple Jesus loved - when he saw Jesus it was in a totally different light than he had seen Him on earth.

What a day that will be - when my Jesus I shall see - when I look upon His face - the One who saved me by His grace - when He takes me by the hand - and leads me to the promised land - what a day - glorious day - that will be!

Oh, Terri, it does cause us to wonder, doesn't it? What will it be like? I belive He will be even more that we at our very limits can possibly imagine. Greater than we are capable of knowing at this time. I cannot wait! Thank you, dear friend for putting this reminder to our forefront today! Hugs to you! Tanna

I've often wondered as well. And I love to ponder these things! I agree that we will know Him when we see Him. (PS - In Revelations it says He will be wearing the color red when He comes again.) Merry Christmas blog friend!

Warmly, Michelle

That's all any of us can do isn't it?......imagine. I imagine Jesus to be like Robert Powell in the film 'Jesus of Nazareth'. But like you say 'we will know, when the time comes'

BTW I am loving your space. There is so much here for my eyes to drink in and my Soul to savour.
