The "Quiet" Following The Holidays

Yesterday At Home Whilst Enjoying The "QUIET" Following The Holidays (sorry sweet family) ~ The First Hint Of The New Year Stopped Me In My Tracks!  A Local TV Commerical Was Advertising All The Celebrations To Take Place Throughout Our Community On New Year's Eve...And My Heart Almost Leaped Out Of My Chest!

Dear Friends..My Age Is Definitely Catching Up With Me Because All I Want To Do Is Catch My Breath..Oh And Maybe SLEEP.

Hey, Do Y'all Remember That Chest I Posted Awhile Back That My Hubby Found Curbside A Few Weeks Past?  I've Included Some "Before Views" To Jog Your Memories.  Anyhoo..Right Before I Got Super Busy With Visiting Relatives, I Finally Finished Giving It A Facelift.

Not Too Shabby For A Freebie And It Will Serve Me Well Housing All My Soldering Supplies That Previously Had No Home.

Oh..And I Also Included A Little Project I've Been Playing Around With In My Photo Collage.  Look On The Last Row In The Center.  I've Had Some Old Fencing Stacked In My Garage Forever and I Suddenly Had An Idea On What I Could Use It For.

The Aged And Worn Surface Of The Wood Sure Added Some Texture To My Sweet Faced Bull.

Okay..That About Does It For Me Today.  I Hope Everyone's Christmas Was Everything Y'all Hoped It To Be ~ And That The Coming New Year Is Especially Beautiful For Each And Everyone!

Hi Sweet Friend! I'm so with you, sleep sounds more like what I need and I didn't even have a house full of people!
Your hubby's find has certainly been turned into quite a treasure! Wow, I just love the colors and design you came up with.

I'm spending the next few days in my studio and napping if I want! Time to catch up on a few canvases and spend a bit more time with my love. He has built me a new shelf for my new office, so I will need to paint and collage that this weekend too.

Hoping to catch up with you soon. I'm so blessed to have met you this year and am looking forward to more Georgia Sunshine in the upcoming New Year! xo

Hi Terri! I absolutely LOVE finding things that can be re-used or re-purposed!! We have done this many times and the result is sooo much more satisfying than going to the store and purchasing something brand new. At least I think so. Hope your holidays were filled with good things. I know what you mean about the new year sneaking up on you. Truly, I cannot believe that it is JANUARY. Yikes!!! Cheers to you, my friend, I'm so glad that our paths have crossed!!
