"Ice Storms And New Paint Samples"

Goodness Gracious Alive!  Were We Ever Stunned To Wake Up To This Yesterday Morning!  All Schools, City & Government Facilities, Are Closed Until The Roads Thaw Out.

Middle Georgians Aren't Accustomed To Snow And Ice.  Northern Georgia (Up Around Atlanta) It's More Commonplace.  But I Can Tell You For Sure, Locals From Our Community Haven't A Clue On How To Drive In This Frozen Stuff!

So What Do We Do With Our Time In Winter Wonderland?  Some Of Us Take To The Easel.  I Received Some Free Paint Samples Recently And Felt It Was A Good Time To Give Them A Try.

Using A Draft Of A Previous Landscape I Had Painted A Few Years Back..I Played Some With My New Colors.  Yep..I'm Definitely Liking This Newest Paint.  Might Even Order Some Larger Tubes In The Days Ahead.

This Is The View From My Studio Windows!  If This Keeps Up..Maybe I Can Build A Snowman!

GORGEOUS painting Terri!!! You are so talented!
We have feet of snow here and we still aren't able to build a snowman yet because it's too fluffly! Kind of crazy. So far the little one is just content to make snow angels and sled. :)
Have a great week Terri and have fun in the snow!

Awe...I was a little jealous when I saw all that snow down south! I'm in NY and it seems to hit above, below and beside me. I know this is probably hard for most to understand, but if I have to be cold, I want it to look amazing outside and brown deadness and dirt are ugly! White snow, clinging to the branches of trees, creating a winter wonderland, is AMAZING! =) Stay safe!

Oh, how fun to get new "toys" to play with!! Love the colors you are using! Yeah, this weather is not my favorite and we are no where near as bad as your neck of the woods! Stay warm and let us in on what all you come up with using those new paints!

Oh sweet Friend, you've got a bit of white stuff! How happy you must be to snuggle in your studio and paint.

i too was sent some free oil paint samples but have yet to use them, maybe this weekend. I'm in the middle of my super long days and missing my studio very much.

I love your landscape sketch, the colors are so soothing! Hugs and love to you this week Terri!
