"Fascination With Fuschia ~ Studio Sneak Peek Friday"

Earlier This Week I Stumbled Across Some Way-Cute 6X8 Birch Panels..And Posted The Progress Made On A Few Of Them.  Ya Know Friends..It's Ironic The Trajectory Having Raided My Husband's Woodshop Has Taken.  I Now Have A New Curiosity With Wood.  And Every Day I'm Learning New Techniques In Which To Manipulate Its Surface For My Painting Needs.

I Started This Newest Keepsake Box Yesterday.  As You Can See I've Only Laid In My Composition And Have Only Begun Laying In My First Layers Of Color.  Actually The Little Girl In The Center Is Still So Wet..She Was Almost Too Shiny To Photograph.

Still So Much Left To Do..But The MomentumWhich I've Been Experiencing With Wood Is Just One Of Those Magical Things That Happens.  So Unexpected..But So Much Fun!

I'm Linking With "Sweet Jennifer's Friday Sneak Peek" Today And Want To Thank Anyone Who May Have Popped By!  Have A Wonderful Weekend Everybody!

Terri, I love it! I just posted this week about "serendipity" and it seems to be going around! Can't wait to see where your new interest in wood leads you next.

Oh ... I'm in love with wood lately too ... wood canvas, wood blocks, wood boxes, wood anything. I just finished a little wood mixed media "sculpture" that I think I will post next week!
Have a wonderful weekend!

I love my husband's woodshop. I do all of my work on pieces that emerge from there! I have hardly worked on canvas actually. I would love to hear some of the techniques you are using on the surface! Love the color! And those hats... love, love the hats. They are so darn cute! :)

Serendipity... finding that wood for canvas. =) I love seeing the progression and development of art. It is like life... messy at points... then beautiful. Hope you have a warm and wonderful weekend! Hugs ~ Tanna

Perfect for you to use some of those birch panels from your hubby. Are you going to sell them in your shop? Prayer boxes are a great idea, too!
