"Sneak Peek Friday" Link Up With Sweet Jennifer

Friends, This Is Definitely A Work Still In Progress But I've Been Missing Linking With My Sweet Friend Jennifer For Sneak Peek Friday..So I'm Here To Give Y'all A Peek At What I've Been Working On This Week.

There's Still Much To Do On This Composition, But So Far I'm Pleased With How It's Coming Together.  Next Week Maybe I'll Have The Completed Piece To Show.  This Photo Doesn't Reveal The Lit'l Girl's Pretty Dress Or The Longggg Legs of The Giraffe.  Suppose I'll Just Have To Save That For Next Week. :))

Have A Glorious Weekend Everyone!

Your painting made me smile...a really big smile! We have a very famous giraffe here in Pensacola. Actually it's the Gulf Breeze Zoo. Anyway, I have been there as a teachers aid with my daughters and now as a grandmother I have taken my grandchildren there. You can climb up a tall latter and feed the giraffe. He will eat right out of your hand. His long purple tongue makes everyone laugh and say ewww. Lol, can't wait to see your painting when it's complete.

Hi! I hadn't been around to visit you for a while and I wanted to check on you. I went back and read your last posts. Going through your mother's things must have been so difficult. I did that with my mother's things. It took days and sometimes I was laughing at the silly things she had saved and sometimes opening her nightgown drawer which smelled of her perfume, left me huddled in a pile of vibrant silky gowns sobbing. There just is no way to describe the feelings unless you have walked that walk.

As for sleep...for a long time I held it together and cried after my husband was sleeping. It seemed worse if I stopped moving. Now, 20 months later, I still miss her so much it hurts...but, the memories make me smile more often than cry. You'll get there...it just takes time and I think somehow they help us through it. Sending you a big hug.
